I got a membership to a local gym for christmas this year. So I try to go their a lot. I mostly only go into the weight room and the cardio room stationary bikes, tredmills, stair steppers, etc. So I've been lifting weights a lot. My problem is, I don't know if I'm doing them correctly. I checked on google about it, but the websites get really confusing. I pretty much need your tips on weight training. How to weight lift for the first time?
i was wondering how to lift weights in the machines for the first time I think i may have done it improperly and now my hands and chest hurt a lot i have done it for 2 days so far the first day i worked out my biceps triceps and the chest muscles for about an hour and a half and second day it was very sore so i fought the pain and did the same exercises for 30 minutes that day then the next day it was very very sore and my hands and expecially chest muscles felt like there were nails going through them and i couldnt do anything but in the evening i went to play basketball but i could barely shoot or even dribble and it was mostly my right arm that hurt its my right arm is my dominant one and my left arm felt just a little bit sore what did i do wrong can someone help me so i can start again the right way and i got a basketball tournament tomorrow that i paid a lot for and i want to really play can someone help me and tell me what i did wrong?and i was wondering will it always hurt like this or will it only hurt for about a week my friends say just a week
